A FEW THINGS ABOUT THE ARTIST

1. What do you do when you’re not making art? (Day job etc...).

I am a dental hygienist and wife and a mom of 3.

2. Why do you make art?

I make art because I enjoy it. It has a calming effect and you can forget all the troubles and just immerse yourself in the painting.

3. What inspires you?

I am inspired by nature. Its sounds and light effects. How the sounds and lighting can make you feel. I want my paintings to feel as if you can almost step into them and imagine yourself in the piece. To go there, in your mind and be able to almost hear the oceans, insects, birds, frogs, the noise the foliage makes when the breeze blows or feel the warmth of the sun.

4. What/who are your influences?

I love looking at all photography, artwork or just nature itself and see the way the light reflects off things. I look for colors that catch my eye or color combinations that make me feel something.

5. If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

I honestly don't have an answer for this one.
